EXPRESS YOURSELF
Everyone has different makeup experience and skill levels, but one thing that should be the same for everyone is your tools - a.k.a. brushes. In today's blog, I’ll be guiding you towards the brushes you need and some investment pieces to go along with them.
BRUSHING UP
I own a large variety of brushes that I’ve accumulated over the past few years. I have multiple brushes that all serve the same purpose, so I always have a variety to choose from when applying products and blending. Buying a set of brushes is always a great way to go to get the most for your money.
EYES, LIPS, FACE
The sets of face brushes that I love are:

Based on my past blogs, the JH03 brush is my new favorite for applying my foundation and concealer. The JH02 has made contouring so much easier if I want a softer look because of the brush face size.

The Real Techniques sponge is one of my favorite beauty sponges. The flat edge and pointed tip help me apply my makeup in the hard-to-reach areas of my face with no fuss.
My all-time favorite eyeshadow brush sets:

I use the largest brush the most as it’s my go-to blending brush to blend out any harsh edges or colors. The smaller brushes are better for applying pigmented shadows to the crease and blending out the edges because they offer more control.

This fourteen-piece set has everything to offer when it comes to makeup brushes. Any brush you would ever need for a look can be found in this brush set. I love Morphe brushes just as much as I love their makeup since brushes are their bread and butter.
DON’T BREAK THE BANK
Makeup products and tools can be expensive, so make sure you do your research before purchasing anything that seems like an investment purchase. These next few items aren’t super pricey, which is why I love them, and they have made my life so much easier after buying them.

This fan has saved me so much time when it comes to waiting for my setting spray to dry, so I can finish the rest of my makeup like my mascara because yes, you should put that on last to avoid smudges.

Okay, I’ll admit it cleaning my brushes is something that I don’t do as often as I should. After I bought this, my brushes looked brand new. The only negative to this is if your brushes are older, this can break the handle off of the brush head because of how tight the grips are.
BRUSHED UP
