CLEAN SLATE

To start off any good makeup look or a fresh face, you need to start with a clean base to work with. I have very oily skin, so it is essential that I wash my face of any dirt/oil to ensure an easy product application. After washing my face, I go right into applying my SPF moisturizer and primer to give my makeup something to hold onto.

These are my all-time favorite base products that I use daily:

LAY THE FOUNDATION

After getting my base finished, I move into my face makeup - that is a very long list. Depending upon the day, this routine can vary in the order of these products, but they’re all used every day. Foundation and concealer are hard products for me to find since I have very fair and oily skin. The help of setting powder really makes a difference in this to help control oiliness and set the liquids in place. The emotion of my face is centered around my eyebrows, which can take an extensive amount of time to do, but I’ll save those steps for another day.

SHAPE YO’ FACE

Giving your facial structure definition is a great confidence booster if I say so myself. Contouring makes me feel so much more confident, even if it’s just a couple of shadows. Then highlighting the structures, you defined is what can make your makeup standout. After experimenting with several bronzers and highlighters, I finally found what works for me:

If I feel like adding more depth to my contour, I’ll add a cream bronzer before my powder bronzer. I find this concealer to be great at adding additional warmth to my face:

WINDOW TO THE SOUL

Your eyes are said to be the first thing someone notices about you. Adding in some eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner will really make them notice your eyes. For an everyday look, I’ll just go with a simple brown/orange eye look since I have blue eyes, and those colors compliment my eyes. Adding in my all-time favorite mascaras on top of that because yes, I use two mascaras together gives me great lashes. Then depending upon the time I have, I might add some eyeliner to my waterline to make my eyes a little more dramatic.
