INSPIRATION
My love for makeup and the beauty community started at an extremely young age. I started wearing makeup at the age of three. I know what you must be thinking “how”, “why”, or “did my mom even allow this”. Well, starting at three years old I started taking lessons from a dance studio in my hometown. For our recitals and studio pictures, we were all required to wear makeup. At recital, we had to wear stage makeup so our faces would show up under the harsh stage lighting, while studio pictures required a more toned-down version similar to a dramatic version of a natural makeup look. Over my fourteen years at that studio, I developed a passion for makeup which grew into the beauty community.

COLLECTION
Once I started to do my own makeup and my mom stepped away from that position, my makeup collection - a.k.a. addiction grew. As of today, my collection takes up quite a lot of space and that's just the organizers I use. I started out with using small Maybelline eyeshadow quads then advanced to the thirty-five pan Morphe palettes.

Makeup has always been something I was passionate about, but recently I’ve taken up a bigger interest in skincare. If you haven’t already, you need to start taking an interest in skincare because my skin has never been as consistently clear as it is today. Something I’ve learned from my mom that made a huge difference in my skin is the one thing I hated as a kid and that is sunscreen.
YOU NEED TO START WEARING SPF!!!
I can say I have never applied a large amount of SPF to my face until this past summer. I mean I’ve always put sunblock on my face in the summer, but never under my makeup. It is life-changing; you need to go out and get yourself a moisturizer with a high amount of SPF in it and your skin with thank you.
A WORK IN PROGRESS
My makeup and skin haven’t always looked as good as they do today, especially my eyebrows. Doing my eyebrows is the one gift that I can confidently say is a skill that will never stop evolving overtime. If we take a trip all the way down memory lane back to middle school, that - for me and my eyebrows - is a traumatic story. I really started to get into regularly wearing makeup every day in middle school, so I didn’t have a ton of time to do my makeup in the morning before school. This led to me completely ignoring my eyebrow as you can see in these traumatic photos.

The beginning of high school was the turn of a new leaf except my eyebrows didn’t get the memo and decided to turn into poorly spaced caterpillars.

My heart has never truly recovered from that traumatic time, but my eyebrows thankfully have later in high school as I branched out into dip brows and cleaning up the edges.
Those eyebrows have carried me to where I am today. I currently have stepped away from the heavy dip brow application and now use brow pencils and concealer for my looks.
FROM HERE ON OUT
After unloading my makeup baggage, hopefully this blog will be able to guide you in the right direction through my personal favs and recommendations.
I am on my way to buy SPF moisturizer right now.
