Would You Rather: Beauty Edition

Today, I’ll be making tough choices, and by that, I mean deciding between some popular and not-so-popular makeup products. This is Would You Rather: Beauty Edition.
STARTING LINEUPS
Face Wash vs. Regular soap
I would rather use face wash, obviously. My go-to facewash at the moment is La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash for Oily Skin.

Using regular soap such as hand soap to wash your face can strip your face too much of its natural oils, causing dry, patchy skin. The overall winner when it comes to washing my face will always be a good quality face wash.
Moisturizer vs. Primer
Most would think that you need to use a primer when doing your makeup, but that’s not always true. In this matchup, I would rather use a moisturizer. The go-to moisturizer that I use before putting on my makeup is CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30.

Using a good moisturizer before putting on your makeup will do the same thing a cheap primer would do. I just use a moisturizer when I’m doing my everyday makeup, but if I’m doing a fancier look, then I’ll use a primer.
Foundation vs. Tinted Moisturizer
When it comes to my makeup, I prefer a full coverage look. I’d have to go with the foundation over tinted moisturizer. I have a long list of foundations I use that vary by the look. If I want an everyday look, I’ll just use Elf 16-hr Camo Concealer, but if I want a more dramatic look, I’ll use a high-end foundation like NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.

Cream vs. Powder Contour
When it comes to contouring, I love to do both as it adds more definition to your face. If I had to pick a favorite, I would choose powder contour. I always use Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer.

I feel that I have more control using a powder instead of a cream. With a powder, it's easier to fix any mistakes rather than with a cream. All you have to do is just take a brush and blend out the powder, but with a cream you’d have to add more concealer to fix any mistakes made.
Brow Gel vs. Brow Pencil
My brows are probably my number one priority when it comes to doing my makeup. I need to have definition in my brows for them to show up on my face, so a brow pencil is the way to go. My all-time favorite pencil is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.

Using a pencil makes it easier to just draw what shape I want my brows to be. I still love to use a clear brow gel on top of my brows after filling them in to hold them in place.
